lET ME SHOW YOU HOW

Born in Stephenville, NL, Canada, I grew up near the ocean, longing for a better life. After working in Toronto after high school, I decided to go back to school. I did a Diploma of Applied Arts in Community Studies and Project Management at the local college. Then I went to Memorial University of Newfoundland to obtain a degree in sociology and psychology. I loved learning about people, so I continued to get a Masters Degree in Sociology and wrote a thesis about why people return to Newfoundland. As a sociologist, I continued to study people and obtained several research grants that enabled me to sharpen my skills.  I spent five years working in labor relations and became Canada's representative for the European Community Visitor's Programme, traveling to Brussels, Sweden, and Portugal meeting with public dignitaries. In 1995 I moved to British Columbia, where I continued to research and put my media and organizational skills in the music industry. I did public relations and administration for one of the largest music festivals in western Canada.   I returned to Newfoundland once again long enough to give birth to my son Jacob Vaughn Trask and then went to Toronto, where I worked in administration in the Midwifery Program at Ryerson University.  I returned to Newfoundland in 2001 to become an Educator at the College of the North Atlantic.

As a lifelong learner, I obtained many certifications in human development, leadership management, and crisis management, including suicide intervention.  I did many courses online and continued teaching numerous classes. Always interested in personal development, I studied with Dr. Joe Vitale, receiving certifications in mastering self-esteem building for adults and children. I learned marketing and speaking from the stage from Callan Rush.  I obtained a coaching certification with the Canadian Federation of Coaches and then studied with Bob Proctor of Proctor Gallagher Institute.  After attending The Matrixx Program, which is a week-long program for ultimate goal and achievement transformation, I became a consultant with PGI for their Internationally acclaimed coaching program Thinking into Results. It wasn't long before I began writing my coaching programs and started using my materials.   To fulfill my lifelong goal of becoming an author, I studied with Peggy McColl completing several of her writing programs, promoting, and selling books.  As time went on, I became more interested in writing, so I developed the Life Lessons from the Field series. It has allowed me to explore life in a new and meaningful way. I share other's stories and teach life lessons that everyone needs to know. Teaching, Speaking, Writing, and Coaching, I am following my passion and can easily help you learn to follow yours.
